Belangrijke update

xxter heeft een update beschikbaar gemaakt voor alle xxter apparaten. U wordt gevraagd deze op korte termijn te installeren. U ontvangt deze mail omdat u geregistreerd xxter gebruiker bent. Deze mail wordt eenmalig verzonden.

Waarom is deze update zo belangrijk?
|
|
|
Om de veiligheid tussen de systemen te waarborgen, gebruikt xxter veiligheidscertificaten. Door een onvoorziene beleidswijziging van onze certificaatverstrekker zijn we genoodzaakt een van deze certificaten te vernieuwen. Zonder firmware update zal het niet meer mogelijk zijn om bepaalde verbindingen op te zetten. Hierdoor zal het xxter apparaat bepaalde taken niet meer kunnen uitvoeren, zoals bijvoorbeeld de push berichtgeving, maar ook zaken als configuratie inladen en firmware updates installeren.

Wat gebeurt er als u deze update niet installeert?
|
|
|
Wanneer u de update niet tijdig installeert zullen bepaalde zaken niet meer functioneren, zoals de push berichtgeving. U loopt geen veiligheidsrisico en de bediening en visualisatie zullen gewoon blijven werken. Het updaten van de firmware zal echter niet meer automatisch lukken. Onze supportafdeling kan helpen om alsnog de firmware geüpdatet te krijgen, door middel van een aantal handmatige handelingen.
Daarom is het advies om z.s.m. de update te installeren, voordat dit niet meer automatisch kan.

xxter has made an update available for all xxter devices. You are requested to install this at your earliest convenience. You receive this email because you are a registered user of xxter. This email will only be sent once.

Why is this update so important?
|
|
|
To ensure secure communications between the systems, xxter uses security certificates. Because of an unforeseen change of policy of our certificate authority we are forced to renew one of these certificates. Without a firmware update it will no longer be possible to set up certain connections. This will mean that the xxter device can no longer perform specific functions, like for example push messages, but also the loading of the configuration and installing firmware updates.

What happens when you do not install the update?
|
|
|
When you do not install the update in time, certain features will no longer work properly, like for instance the push messages. There is no security risk and you will still be able to control and visualise your home. However, the updating of the firmware will no longer work automatically. Our support department can help to update the firmware, by performing specific manual steps.
Therefore, we advise you to update the firmware as soon as possible, before it can no longer be done automatically.
